Polaris POS was built inside Mars Kitchen Essentials, a kitchenware shop in Kampala run by our founder, after sales kept growing but profit, stock and expenses stayed a guess. It ran that shop every day before we offered it to anyone else.

Does Polaris POS work without internet?
Yes. Sales, receipts and stock changes are recorded on the device while you're offline and sync automatically when the connection comes back, so load-shedding or a dead data bundle doesn't stop the counter.
Does it take mobile money?
Yes. MTN MoMo and Airtel Money are payment methods at the till alongside cash, so your end-of-day cash-up shows how much came in each way.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. You pay once (Starter UGX 750,000, Business UGX 1,500,000; Enterprise from UGX 4,200,000), 50% to start and the balance when you go live. Security fixes are free. Polaris Care, from UGX 60,000 a month, is optional and adds priority support and new features.
What hardware do I need?
Nothing new. It runs in the browser on the Android phone, tablet or computer you already have. A receipt printer, barcode scanner and cash drawer are optional.
How long does setup take?
Days, not months. Most of the time goes into getting your product list ready; we help you import it, set up your staff logins and train your team.
Can it run several branches?
Not yet as one combined view. Each shop can run its own Polaris POS today; multi-branch consolidation is in development and we build it with Enterprise customers.
Is it suitable for a pharmacy?
For counter sales, stock, margins and staff accountability, yes. It does not track expiry dates or batches yet, so tell us if you need that before you buy.
Who can see my business data?
Only you and the staff you give logins to. Each business gets its own separate database, every staff member signs in individually with a role, and sales, discounts and refunds are recorded against a name.
